The number of posters using the WalesOnline forums has fallen recently, with more people opting to comment directly on articles. However, the number of complaints and disputes on the forums has increased to the extent that moderating the message boards is now a significant drain on resources.
Therefore, we have regretfully taken the decision to close the forums.
Registration for WalesOnline community accounts remains unaffected; new users can register for an account and existing users can login as usual to access the comments facility on articles.
